Caught 2 coyotes about 80 feet apart. To far apart to call a double probably but it's as close as I've gotten. My first ever in the cable restraint that I got at the class. I bought 12 more cables to hang on Friday after I simmer them in some baking soda. I think they are really going to help me get to my goal of 20 coyotes before the season is over. Number 10 and 11 from 15 sets out last night.

Thanks guys. Kip, you know a thing or two about doubles so I'll count it. Wish I got a picture with both in frame but the cabled coyote had the cable chewed pretty good and the other one stayed low when he saw me standing by his brother. No yotes today. I need to get those cables hung Saturday.

it could be that both yotes were together when the first one got caught. the other could have moved off to watch or was just scared when it got caught...i dont trap, but i would count it. congrats !

bonhunr, I was guessing the one got caught going under the cattle fence first and the other couldn't get under and eventually hit my cable restraint which was on the next trail in the only place I could legally set it without entanglement while still hiding it. I will never know how it went down but it's fun to guess.
I see you are from Erie. That's 80 miles or more from where I'm trapping these yotes. Assuming the Mosquito Creek contest is up your way I shouldn't be taking out your yotes. I did trap 2 of the biggest males I've seen this year. There are plenty to go around. Good luck to you.
