Nice, how did you catch the same pair of possums in the same spot 6 times?

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I'm not sure how that happened. I did catch a double on coon and a double on someone's dogs and a single fox and single possum in that same set. It's the first time I ever trapped on a paved road and a hay set is the only way I could think to do it. The coyotes never got to it first. I saw tracks in the snow where one came up and looked at the grinner in my trap.

Good job! How's the price of fur now? My Fur Fish Game magazine has the prices pretty low.

I'm not sure about prices. Haven't sold any fur for years. I kept some to tan and make hats and gloves for gifts. I let a lot of animals go other than coyotes of course. I target coyotes and let most of the raccoons and foxes go. I wanted some beaver mittens and a muskrat hat so I trapped enough for that. I'm making beaver based bait for next year and I got a jar of castor out of them too.
