Pretty soggy over the weekend.

Between the weather and work I opted to wait. I got 7 or 8 sets out today (can't remember if I put 3 or 4 sets in the fisher territory).

Scouted last week and had an area littered with fisher tracks. Another area had big cat tracks. I got both those areas pretty well set.

Another area had tracks of both. Will get it setup tomorrow after I check....

I got 10 Fisher traps out in an area we caught them the last two years. Didnt get a chance to get out and scout when there was snow on the ground but I'm still confident. Just wait and see what happens.

Friend ask me to set some traps for Fisher.
I didn't scout, just set were he has seen them.
It's a shot in the dark here in my area, but I set two traps there today.

Been getting mangy Reds & two mangy Coyotes last week. Plus a 'matted' Red.
This week started with another mangy Coyote today...

Good luck to everyone with Bobcat & Fisher

Yes going to be a rough season for me also. We have some of the toughest trapping conditions to start in NE but this years weather is a killer. Like a second job keeping my sets baited and working. Even my water sets are reaking havoc on me with constant changing water levels. Thursday starts my yearly couple week trapping vac were I can finally get a decent K9 line out instead jumping in convienant places on my way to work. Guess what heavy rain in forecast for Thurs and Friday 😤 so there already goes 2 check days on my line cause I'm not going to set until Sat!!

Never needed hip boots for land trapping b4!! Digging out the cubby boxes and 160's if its gonna keep raining every 3 days!!!. My partner has to cross a little wet area normally for a couple sets but the swamp got some depth to it since all the rain and an underwater limb grabbed his foot-face first into the muck Not a good day!!!
