And he was a great guy. He taught me a lot about the outdoors and life in general. The only thing we never agreed on was Conibear 110's, he always thought of them as cheating. Looking back on it he was probably right, but back in my heyday of trapping I was interested in production. He always made sure I didn't trap out an area though!
I was a cheater too. I relied on 110s heavily years ago. I would string 100 or so at Moraine State Park on Thanksgiving Day. I usually had 50-60 rats on Friday morning. With far less rats today, I catch most of them in #1 and #1 1/2 s.
