First Coyote

I went out Sat morning in the rain to pull some traps because of weather and prepare to remake some sets when it froze up again. I was really suprised to find a coyote in a dirt hole set. Used Dobbins Canine Select lure and O'Gormans Powder River Paste as bait and a Minnesota Brand MB550 2 coil trap. My first year of trapping and my first coyote. I think I am hooked from this point on. Here is some pics for you guys. Thanks for everyone's advice on this forum and website! Oh yeah, 42.1 lb Female

Re: First Coyote

Yeah limbhnger, i sent you that one earlier but i didnt take a camera along with me to check in the pouring down rain sat morning. Also wasnt expecting to have a coyote in the set because of the weather. Also , being new to trapping I didnt pay attention to how good of a hold I had on its foot( which ended up being perfect) and I wanted to dispatch it.

Re: First Coyote

The first one always makes you want to get it down fast. Congrats seems like people catch some critters when they least expect it.
