Need some tips with fox and yote trapping.

I know that people probably already asked, but i was wondering what set you guys would prefer right now with the frozen ground. I'm from south Central, Pa and my buddy and i are just messing around with a small line. We put out dirt holes, flat sets, and hay sets. But weren't real sure what to expect, we usually just make the sets for foxes and maybe we'll luck into a yote. Got a nice one Wednesday, first catch of the season. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Re: Need some tips with fox and yote trapping.

I really use more flat sets because they are easier to get in but I've had better luck at dirt holes, just gotta have a good bait down the hole. Some good call lure up high on a weed a little on the backing and a good bait in the hole. I use a ground peice of 3\4 rebar to chop my holes in.

If your on location hay sets are the way to go on frozen ground. All you gotta do is get a stake or two in and your golden. No beds no holes no backings just stake set the trap on the ground hay pee and roll on. And only a 30 second remake

I have all dirt holes for land trapping, pocket, blind, and bottom edge sets for my water line.
