fur value

I havent been trapping my entire life like a few have i got into it about 12 years ago. Has anyone ever seen hide values worth less than they are now across the board or to say in general.

Re: fur value

I'd say adjusting for inflation...this is about as bad as I've seen since I started in the late 70s. Even without any consideration of inflation, these are some of the lowest prices I've encounter.

The late 80's were pretty poor the early 90's wasn't much better. It may take a decade or so but, fur will shine again.

Re: fur value

Yes, fur was lower. I got 75 cents for muskrats, $2.00 for a female mink, $6.00 for a male mink, I once got $4.00 for a red fox and that wasn't for the fur, it was bounty money, the hide was worthless. That all happened to me in the early 1960's.

I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.
