Coyote Cable Escapee

Well I have read this has happened to others, didn't ever think it would happen to me. I caught a coyote in a cable restraint, my first ever in one, perfectly around the neck. Using a 285# Dakota Ghost rider double swiveled 7x7 the cable was fine and in tact, however when I got the gun to shoot him it made a lunge broke the BAD and had to watch it run away. So disappointing. Anyone have any tips on what I could do better?

Re: Coyote Cable Escapee

Ha yeah my first one in a cable restraint. I think I am going to get the 350's. And there was no way to shoot him faster, he ran way though chest high golden rod. Everything worked out except the BAD

Re: Coyote Cable Escapee

Good set anyway. You can a 375# BAD or like dietsch said shoot faster.

Re: Coyote Cable Escapee

Ha no I know you were joking, I should have had my pistol with me when I first got around to it. I think I am going to try some 1x19 cables with a heavier break away
