The snow doesn't lie

It must've been a busy night last night. Tracks were everywhere. Yesterday morning after the snow,Nada.
I followed a set of tracks right up to the remake of my first catch. Worked. Just not on the pan. Not sure how, but a miss

And I need to be in less of a hurry. After Monday's catch, I didn't remake the set. Just left the trap exposed. I was short on time and the frozen ground was not that inviting to me.

It looks like a coyote dance party broke out.

So remember boys and girls, remake your catch circles.

Re: The snow doesn't lie

had the same thing happen to me this morning track all over a frozen solid trap and a coyote walked around one of my cables. oh well keep on trying. the good news is they were both comfortable enough to work your set. thats a good chunk of the battle

The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Re: The snow doesn't lie

Snow is a great tell all,,, but sometimes it hurts to find out just how close you were to catching or that you should have had working sets out. Happened to me a few times. Good luck!

I hate when they do that. They are so unpredictable
