Muskrat huts

Is it legal to trap the huts? I seen a video of a guy from PA trapping the huts, I thought it was illegal to trap directly at the hut ?
Thanks

Re: Muskrat huts

Ok and yes I was thinking that same rules apply for the huts as beaver. I just didn't wanna get a fine for trapping the huts

Re: Muskrat huts

You can't cut the top off or put a hole in it so you can see the entrances and set them from the inside.

Re: Muskrat huts

Make a little indent in the hut and place a number 1 underneath it

Re: Muskrat huts

But you are allowed to hug the hut with a run coming out of it ? Not damaging it of course

Yes, you can trap the entrances from the outside, you just can't alter or damage the hut.
