picked up a road killed coon

It was still a little blue. I put it in the freezer it should look better in a week or so.

I never heard of one growing more hide after they were dead.

I thought cold weather primed them?

or was it the amount of light in the day?

Pour a little hydrogen peroxide on the leather and work it in real good. It will break down the blood saturating the hair follicles and turn your blue coon Snow White. Fur buyers won't have a clue and you'll turn that $4 coon into a $6 coon.
