Second fox

I caught this guy in a hay set on a field edge using f & t fox urine and June's Fox frenzy. It took me a week and a half to catch him. I had a lot of tracks around my set on previous days but none would fully come into the set. The hay is from some hay bails under my fathers deck. He has a bunch on house cats that pee on it so I dont know if it helped me or hindered me. I also caught him by the back leg. Any guesses why?
Let me know if you cant see the pics

Re: Second fox

WHen they work a hay set, they walk all over in it, you're just as liable to catch them by a back leg as front IMO.

Congrats!

Re: Second fox

First off, are you sure it's Hay and NOT straw? I personally always start the set with fresh hay and only reuse it if a wild animal is caught in it, so I'm not sure about the cat thing. The back leg is just where he happened to step. I've caught them like that too. The hay-set is great this time of year for me. This week alone on one property I've caught 10 reds using HS and 2 using dirtholes.
