NAFA May Auction

The NAFA May Auction starts on Wednesday May 14. The auction schedule is listed on the website. Looks like it's all ranch mink from the 14th to the 18th. Wild fur will start the 19th with raccoon, mink and muskrat (or as they say, musquash) I was amazed to see that there are 750,000 raccoon will be offered along with 260,000 muskrats! There are only 32,000 wild mink to be offered.

The horizon is your starting point.

Re: NAFA May Auction

Yep the coon pipeline is over flowing. Prices will take a huge hit if they even move them at all. Western and northern heavies will prob be the only coons to move if they can get what they think they should for them. We need China back in the game. I read somewhere that at this current time Korea is the big player at the auctions right now.

Honesty is my only excuse.

Re: NAFA May Auction

Lotting is up on the NAFA site for everything but fresh coon that were sent. My bought back coon from the February auction is up.

I was confused to see the 2 muskrat I have at this auction. 1 graded winter the other graded spring. Both were caught on the same day in late December.

The horizon is your starting point.

Re: NAFA May Auction

My first year selling to NAFA. I'm definitely interested to see how it goes and when I get a check. Next year I may have to learn how to login and see where my fur ended up.

All you have to do is log into your account. You'll see what the furs go for. The auction is on live online right now. Wild fur will be on Monday. Live sound with the type of fur and lot number under the media player.

Re: NAFA May Auction

We sold all our fur back in January at the PA District 7 sale. The way things sound to me I am glad we did sell then instead of shipping to NAFA.

I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.

Re: NAFA May Auction

I sold almost all my coon at the March sale. Didn't do to bad. Not the highs from last season but respectable. Most of my reds are at this one. I'll be listening when they go up.

grey-2-1
yotes-5-2
