NAFA May Auction

I was looking at the NAFA web site tonight and see that they have updated their prelim estimates for the May auction. Total mink (including ranch) up 600,000 to 5.3 million. Coon and possum up substantially as well, coon up 150K to 750,000 offered and grinners up 50k to 85,000 offered. But muskrat and beaver down; rats down 90k to 260,000 offered and beavers down 20K to 140,000 offered. Other wild fur up some (bobcats up 5k to 23,000 offered, sable up 2K to 80,000 offered, otter up 1,000 to 19K and red fox up 4k to 44,000. Wild mink down 4,000 to 32,000.

The horizon is your starting point.

Re: NAFA May Auction

The amount of coon killed this year astounds me. With the weather we had across the country. Hope everyone does well.

Re: NAFA May Auction

feeb, I agree...the coon states were locked in winter early and it didn't let up...where'd they all come from?!?!

I won't be home or able to watch this auction...I won't even be able to get my lotting...will be like the old days I guess...well..I aughta be able to check my account a week or 2 after the sale...and see if my 20 coon did anything...

Re: NAFA May Auction

I'm guessing the beaver and rat numbers are down because of the earlier shipping dates.Lots of guys couldn't get there spring fur done in time.I just got the last of my beaver drying now. And the eastern coon didn't sell in the first sale, plus a lot of southern coon gonna be in this sale.
