Hillsgrove sale

The boys sold our beaver at the Hillsgrove sale today. I had to work. I think I need to take a look at my beaver boards. 3 of my beaver measured just shy of the next size up and i made sure not to over stretch this year so if they wouldn't go with out pulling much i went down a line oh well live and learn. Ended up with $125 for 6 beaver.

well the kid did as he sold them for him because he was turned away at the door because he was not a pa trapper member.

Re: Hillsgrove sale

bobcat, usually if a non-member shows up at a sale they are given the opportunity to join. That was not a good idea to turn a potential member away.

I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.

Re: Hillsgrove sale

ya i know. i used to just renew my membership there every year. the kids said the guy mentioned several times that the sale was advertised as members only so the kids took my uncles fur and as my uncle was walking out the door some other fellow behind the table said to the guy who was taking the info down "well he could have joined today". but it was too late then. i'm sure if they would have went out and got my uncle he would have been allowed to join.

Re: Hillsgrove sale

Heck yeah he could have joined. My brother and nephew signed up as members for the 1st time ever and sold their furs at Hillsgrove. As far as prices go I thought everything was better than expected. I got 50 bucks for 1 coyote, and 40 each for the rest. Coons were down though. I averaged $16.00 for them. For all you guys that were there and saw my friends awesome bobcat, well, he got $150.00 for it! I also got 78 bucks for 3 grays.

Re: Hillsgrove sale

ya i'm pretty sure if the conversation would have went " you need to be a member so you can sign up here right now" he would have joined. instead it was repeatedly said that it was a members only sale and about how it was advertised as such...
