Trapping while in college

Welp it's been a few years since I've ran my own line and I've decided to finally get back into it (believe me I missed it alottttt). I go to IUP and I plan to run a nice sized mink line over my winter break. My dilemma is that I don't have anywhere to put up fur and I'm not gonna bring anything into my apartment. I'd like to hear some possible ideas of how I should go about doing this for next season.

Re: Trapping while in college

Locate a local trapper to handle fur for you or that you can put up yourself at thier place.

The difference between dreamers and achievers is action.
One try is worth a thousand guesses.

No mink around...should try hand at beaver.

Good places to try...culpeppers, coney... I see lots of scraggly ones near wolfies, mostly at nite.

Mike,
Thought you fell off the face of the earth lol.

Like Kip said, look for someone close by that you can use their facilities.

Re: Trapping while in college

Find a friend renting a house with basement to put up fur. Sell local. That's what I did while at Penn State. Back in 85 I kept guns in my dorm room, Hamilton Hall. Things are a bit different today...

I trapped for a few years in college. I just put everything up in the bathroom.

Re: Trapping while in college

or find a local fur buyer to take your daily catch.

I might add, use the 36 hour check law to your advantage when Mink trapping (after you get the 'Rats and Coon knocked down).
Also, now is a great time to get permission and scout.

If you transfer to <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #993300">Susquehanna</span></span> or <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #000099">Bucknell</span>, </span>I will gladly put your fur up.
I did so for local college student 2-3 seasons ago. And been doing a local high school students fur the past 3 seasons.
My best to you next season and keep us (this board) updated.

Re: Trapping while in college

I went to and Ag College and we had a solar greenhouse in the school's orchard, with a shed and bee house connected. Gave me warm dry place to skin and store fur.
Mike, glad to see you still have the interest. The PTA/FTA rendezvous is going to be out your way in June. I hope you can make it.
