FHA sale

Anyone have wild fur on the FHA sale? Have a report for us???

Sounds pretty grim from what I've heard...

Odd as there were reports of increased interest in wild fur since the last NAFA sale...

Just wondering how it is going for you guys...I really expected it to be a little better...there were a reported 1000+ buyers there...thought it would be a better sale...

Re: FHA sale

over all it seemed to me that prices were down just like the NAFA sale. I watched pretty much the whole sale from red fox on. Seemed to me that reds were 100% clearance. Coyotes seemed that 50% were brought back and coon prob 40%. If anyone has lots in the auction I have every red lot written down, 85% of the coyote and prob 85% of the coon, let me know your lot numbers and I can tell you what they brought if they were sold.I have no dog in this fight as all my goods go in the early June sale. I would say the red fox sold for about a $40 average.

Honesty is my only excuse.

Re: FHA sale

Thank for the update! Reading other sites you just never know how to take it...

Sounds like reds are right comparable to the NAFA sale..

Wonder how having so many coon clogged up between the 2 auction houses will effect things to come...and both have another sale with even more fresh coon...

Not good unless something major changes. Coon prices will probably drop even farther imo.

Honesty is my only excuse.

Re: FHA sale

I was just over on another trapping site where they were talking about the poor wild fur performance at the FHA auction.

Those guys that got the big bucks early in the season from selling locally rolled the dice and won. I have a feeling once they see the very small offerings next season from the buyers there is sure to be lots of traps for sale on various auction sites and classified adds.

The horizon is your starting point.
