Mountain Man Lures

Does anybody remember Mountain Man Lures that was made by Ralph Forrester from McIntyre, PA? I had a guy from Illinois ask me this and said it was the best lure that he ever used but can't find it. I actually have a bottle of Grey Fox Lure made by him that I might have bought 20 years or more ago.

Re: Mountain Man Lures

I do not remember "Mountain Man Lures."

If they were made, and I am guessing they were, during the last fur boom during the early 1980 lure makers were crawling out of the woodwork.

This is not to say their lures were not any good, but I am saying there were a lot of them.

Actually some of them made very good lures. I friend of mine from Harrisburg produced a line of lures. He had a coon lure that was as good as anyone's in the business.

I trap mink because I don't know any better

Alan Probst always talks about mountain man coon lure on the old N.A. trapper and wild PA shows. I always looked around for it but can't find it.

Does he still sell lure? Is there a contact or somewhere it can be purchased?
