Frigid morning 8 point
I almost decided to take the morning off with the 10 degree temps but elected to drag myself out of bed and hunt closer to home today the 13th. That paid off when a doe came came in when the sun crested the horizon with this buck locked up with her. She just about had me pegged but hung around long enough for the buck to present the shot I needed. 15 yard shot and he went 60 yards.
I am guessing a 3.5 old by his teeth. 8 point with a 17 inch spread. Its been a long rutcation with mostly all day sits since the 5th. Passed up quite a few legal bucks waiting for something to trip my trigger. This guy surely did. I back trailed them in the snow to see where they came from. He had made several scrapes along the way and they crossed a pretty well traveled road before getting to me.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
