Dwight Schuh Passing

Got my newest edition of Bowhunter magazine yesterday and usually the 1st thing I do is go right to the back page to read Dwight's article.
There I see that he had passed just prior to this editions release.
I grew up in archery reading Dwight's columns and stories in Bowhunter magazine.
He did a lot of grass roots hunts and when you read his stories you felt like you were right there with him.
I am sure he is looking down on us from above with many deer, elk and bears around him...
I will miss his writings....

I read his book Bugling for Elk, before my first bow hunt in Colorado. A lot of great info..Seemed like a great guy. RIP.

You got me to dig the book out. Got me thinking about another trip out there!

It was cool to read that as recently as 2018 he was still doing elk hunts with his daughters.
His daughter would carry his pack and his bow. She was more than fit to do this since she would run 100 mile marathon's which is cool in itself....
If I remember right, his camera man would do advance scouting so it was a real team effort to get Dwight on an elk in his condition.
His last elk hunt went untagged but the time he spent with his daughters I am sure meant way more to him....
