Well, the season is finally here that I have waited patiently for since I filled my buck tag in archery season, and despite being off work until until 1/3, I have no idea when I will be able to hit the woods. Christmas Eve began with a tight chest cough that has turned into what I fear is a good case of bronchitis Lying here on the couch watching the military channel all wrapped up with the chills, I can only pray I shake this soon enough to maybe get out by the end of the week.
Per my grandad: make up a pint of hot real lemonade, as hot as you can stand to drink it, add three tablespoons of honey and three shots of vodka. Chug it all down and hit the sack. 20 minutes later you won't care how you feel.
Seriously, it does help. The hot fluids help loosen congestion, the honey and lemon are indeed good for congestion and the vodka helps dilate the blood vessels, increasing blood flow.
