New CVA Mountain Rifle

Will be making a phone call tomorrow and order the new Accura Mountain Rifle! I got these pics out of the 2012 CVA Catalog.

One of the sweet parts about it is that it has a stainless barrel and then the tannish color Weatherguard over it to eliminate the SS shine and add corrosion/rust protection. Looks like it will be a great set up and this one apparently can use open sights as well.

The old CVA Mountain rifle was far superior.

Re: New CVA Mountain Rifle

This is a real USA made CVA MR. The way it should be. Except in flintlock of course

Re: New CVA Mountain Rifle

the appreciation of the old CVA Mountain rifle is evidenced by the premium price the used ones bring. Not many guns went up in value over the years like the CVA Mountain Rifle.

Some day, I will find a big bore 58 in flint.

Re: New CVA Mountain Rifle

doubt they ever will make the side hammer again. They did a limited run of 500 of the old mt rifles and they took forever to sell.

Re: New CVA Mountain Rifle

Oh.....but your talking about two completely different guns. The old one was a traditional. The new one is an in-line. Like apples and oranges.
