unloading question

sorry guys, but I am a newbie to this muzzleloader thing. I just got a CVA Optima with the fiber optic site and have a few questions.

Can you shoot and hunt with the open sight or should I look at getting a scope? (I know your yardage greatly increases with the scope)

Can you transport the gun if you take the primer out of course but leave the powder and bullet in the gun or should you shoot it before you transport it?

thank you for the help

Yup. You cannot use any gun other thatn A FLINTLOCK in the LATE FLINTLOCK SEASON.

Also, thank you th94 for NOT using all caps this time. Gotta say it getts a little hard to read all caps and it makes you look like you're yelling at everybody. Just sayin.
