Accurate Load?

I need a good suggestion for accuracy from a CVA Optima Pro. I tried 2 50 gr.777 pellets with a 250 gr. TC shockwave. This load drives tacks from my TC. It wouldn't close any better than 4 inches at 100 yds. I tried the same load with 295 gr. powerbelts, and they wouldn't shoot any better. Anyone have a load that they like for an Optima. I would really like to use 777 if possible, as I use it out of other inlines. THanks.

Re: Accurate Load?

replace the sabots with the harvester crush rib sabot. My optima wouldnt shoot the shockwaves with provided sabot with a darn.

Try the 295gr powerbelt with the triple 7 Magnum pellets.

Re: Accurate Load?

The most accurate load I ever used in any ML is Hornady's 300 gr. SST-ML High Speed Low Drag (red) sabots, 2 White Hots pellets, and Remington KleanBore primers. Not only the most accurate but by far the cleanest too.

Winchester M70 XTR Featherweight .30-06
Marlin 336CS .30-30
Beretta A300 Outlander 12 ga.
Mossberg International Silver Reserve II 12 ga.
