Lyman Deerstalker ?????????

Could some of you fellows that are shooting the Deerstalker
give me some feedback on how they shoot with patched
roundballs? I know they have the 1:48 twist which is like the middle of the road.Let's hear what kind of performance you guys are getting.
Thanks,
Craig

Re: Lyman Deerstalker ?????????

I am shooting PA conicals which is very close to a round ball, and I got 5-6 shots touching at 65.

A buddy just got one and is shooting .490 hornady roundballs and .018" patches and is getting the same results.

Re: Lyman Deerstalker ?????????

Mine is a .54 and shoots not quite 1 ragged hole at 50 yards off a rest. Using 80 gr. FFF and a PRB. With the hornady great plains bullets it shoots about the same with 90 gr.
