Re: Flintlock ends on a Monday? 1/16/2012
I plan to march, in an honorable manner, well into the hinterlands of Berks County on that extra day of the season. Enjoy it in Martin's honor!
Our late Flintlock Season isn't held in high esteem. We essentric flintlockers are more or less appeased with the dregs of the Pennslylvania deer seasons. But, we have a special season, unlike any other in this Country, and we are generally content to harvest antlerless whitetails with our smokepoles.
If this special season becomes an issue,(inlines, etc.)I hope there are sufficient numbers of flintlockers willing to stand firm in support of this "one-of-a-kind" season. It is important historically! Pennsylvania gunmakers produced America's weapons used to protect, feed, and push Pennsylvania's boundries west.
Keep your powder dry, and aim small to miss small!
