what projectile in your flintlock for hunting?

THIS THREAD IS IN REFERENCE TO FLINTLOCK, NOT INLINES

I will not use Powerbelts so please dont recommend them. Pathetic performance, ive seen it a few times with my own eyes.

I always used roundballs in my flinter up until this past season i tried the T/C Surefire sabots (see link below)
https://secure.tcarms.com/store/sure...t-no-8206.html

I was also thinking about trying a maxi-hunter type projectile. What do you guys use?

if you use something besides what i listed, say what it is

Re: what projectile are you guys shooting?

For my in-line I use a Sabot and a 45-cal bullet.

For my Flinter I use the Hornady Pa. Conical with a T\C bore button.

But for the vote...I assumed you were asking about in-lines....so I voted Sabot.

I use none of your options.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: what projectile in your flintlock for hunting?

I have a recovered roundball that killed a doe for me at 55 yards, it split in 2 pieces, both were found against the hide on the opposite shoulder. Nothing has been more accurate for me in my gun.

Sadly most of my life has been wasted, but the rest I spent hunting, fishing, and trapping...

Roundball only for me. Anything else in a flintlock just don't seem right.
