Thompson Omega Inline Loads

Any good hunting loads for this gun out to 100 yards? New to inline muzzleloading. Thanks

Re: Thompson Omega Inline Loads

I tried a few different things in my Omega when I first bought it. I stuck with a 295gr. Powerbelt Aerotip over two 50gr. Pyrodex pellets. This combo has been very accurate and none of the deer that I have shot with it has taken more than a step or two. When I tried more power my accuracy fell off.

Good luck, Tony

Re: Thompson Omega Inline Loads

I have had good success with the Powerbelts and 2 Pyrodex pellets. I seen a few people use 3 pellets but my Omega always seems to perfer 2.

2 or 3 triple seven pellets and a 300 gr Hornady SST bullet - packs a whoopin' on both ends of the gun.

100 grains of loose Pyrodex RS and a T/C Shockwave 250 grain sabot/bullet. Extremely accurate.

Re: Thompson Omega Inline Loads

Mine likes two 50 gr. 777 pellets and the 223 gr. powerbelt. I get great accuracy and I am sure a little more velocity with the lighter bullet. I also got poor groups when using 3 pellets.
