Need sling swivel ferrule

I had bought a replacement ferrule for my inner ramrod ferrule that is threaded for a sling swivel stud. Over the years the threads have stripped. ( there's only a couple threads holding it to begin with. The stud finally fell out. I have looked all over and cannot find anyone selling the replacement ferrule with the stud threads anymore. Am I not looking thoroughly enough or doesn't anyone make one of those aftermarket ferrules with the stud threads anymore? I tried T/C, Uncle Mike's, but no luck. I even called Dixon's, but they couldn't help either. Any suggestions or places to look?

I gotta go agitate the techies!

Dixon's could not help? That is not encouraging.

Can you find a ferrule. Uncle Mike's sells a stud with machine threads. If you can find a ferrule someone could drill and tap it. I'd then use Loctite Sleeve Retainer on the threads. It will not come apart.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Would this work if you can find a ferrule? If you want it I'll send it to you.

Can't loctite it. the stud must be removed to access the ferrule mounting screw

That's it, but unless someone has one they'd sell me, that model is discontinued by the mfg. They also made one that "clamped " onto the ferrule, similar to the barrel clamp swivel for Marlin and Winchester lever guns, but it's also discontinued

I'd call TC and see what the difference between the Renegade and Hawken ferrule is, and if the Renegade furrel could be adapted for use with the Hawkin. They should still have employees that were around when they still made the guns and know if the part would work.

TC has an excellent service dept, and they will do all they can to help.
