Traditions Pursuit problems

I have a Traditions Pursuit XLT. When I got it out of the gun cabinet last week the stock and forearm are very stickey to touch. Synthetic stock with camo. When I wiped it down with a wet rag the camo started to come off leaving a plain stock. Has anyone ever had this issue? Should I call Traditions to see what they would do to help?

Does your model have the thumb hole in the stock?

Those rubberized coatings feel great when they're new but they break down over time and become a sticky mess. If you can't warranty it, one thing I've done with binos/radio/etc. when I had that coating get sticky on me, is rub it down with talcum powder and then wipe off the excess. I was able to wipe off enough that it didn't look too bad, but just do a small spot and see if you're happy with it. If not just rinse it off. Good luck.

I would call them. I purchased a Pursuit in 2011. Recently the sling stud pulled out of the forearm. I contacted Traditions costumer service and spoke with Jim Novelli. They are sending me a new forearm at no cost. Only problem is they no longer have the camo forearm for this model. Only black. They also offer to send me a black stock for reduced price.

Cant complain.
