New Range Report Thompson center impact

I had a chance to see how the gun loads and shoots.
I was just going sight in the fiber optic that came with the gun.
I did clean the bore and gun out if box.
I had some BH209
Thompson center 250 gr. Shockwave both yellow and blue tips.
The sabot are the T/C yellow .
I also had some Hornady 240 xtp mag. With mmp# 24 black sabot.
80 gr. BH at 25 yards off hands dead center a little high.
Back to 100 yards Iron sights 90 gr. 209 with both 250 gr. Bullet.
Yellow and Blue bonded nice 3" group 4 shots
The Hornady will not go down the bore .
The shockwave first round no problem.
The next round stared with a little more muscle on the Ramrod but still o.k. if you needed a follow up shot
Thompson center bore is tight.
The shockwave measure around .505 bullet in sabot.
Hornady runs .530 45 xtp .452 then placed in the black sabot.
Some day try harvester black crush rib for Hornady bullet

What does the bore measure ?
I like your report buddy .
Try Cheap Shots with the crush rib sabots . This works well in our Wolfs and a Tradition in lines .
Drop your charge down to 70 grains !
Practice a lot and you wont need a fouled barrel second shot ?

Had a chance to get back on the range this morning.
Weaver scope 3x9x40 mm using medium rings.
Coupe of shots to get on at 100.
Wow this muzzloader will drive tacks from the bench.
I find she groups better with a clean barrel 3 shots in one cluster. I drop my charge to 80 gr. BH209 with both yellow and blue tips shockwave the gun is a beast.
A few things I find the Ramrod moves forward after the shot.
I randomly 15 shots with 209 and federal primers no problems.
Hey do you think there is enough powder at 80 gr. for the bonded blue tip will do the job on whitetail ??

Yes I think 80 gr will do the job, because Blackhorn 209 is a little hotter the your triple 7.

Have you ever shot any 300 grain bullets out of that 1-28 bbl?? I found 300's to have optimum stabilization in that gfast twist.

Just a tip if you haven't seen this. Keep your primer channel clean with a 1/8 drill bit, just do this by hand to get the primer fouling out.

think I may have to look into a Bushnell banner 6" eye relief.
The Bushnell bone crusher is not going to make it with a 3" eye relief.
I was out today after a few rounds of sporting clays headed over to the rifle bench.
Yep with 90 gr of BH 209 just tap the bridge of my nose again.
I like to ask any one have any idea on the Bushnell 6" set up.?
Can the scope be used

I was back out in the rage today after installing the new Bushnell long eye relief scope
Wow what a difference with the longer eye relief scope.
I would say not 6" but a good 5" eye relief.
