Rust

Got a cva wolf for next to nothing, Has some rust in the barrel.

What is the best way to remove it?

00 steel wool and gun oil has always worked for me.

I like using 0000 cooper wool ( if ya can find it) soaked in Ballistol oil down the bore followed by cleaning patches until the patches start coming out clean. Then use a small amount of Iosso bore cleaning paste to smooth the lands and groves. Then Ballistol patches until it's clean, you may need to repeat this process in a couple of days if the barrel has a lot of rust.

Here is what I like to use.plug the touch hole and put in barrel overnight,yhen use 0000 steel wool, you can also use JB bore paste to shine it up.
I got this from Tractor Supply.
