As you can see, it is knurled brass. When cleaning with a patch, the knurled section is covered. But when using it to seat a bullet, the knurled section is exposed. I know that brass is softer than the steel of the bore, but I am worried that when using this tool to seat bullets, the knurled surface could damage the rifling.
I'm sure some of you have asked the same question, since I believe this tool comes standard with every TC muzzleloader. What do you think?
