Can the bullet seater/cleaning jag damage rifling?

I just bought a TC Triumph, which came with a bullet seater/cleaning jag similar to this one:

bullet seater

As you can see, it is knurled brass. When cleaning with a patch, the knurled section is covered. But when using it to seat a bullet, the knurled section is exposed. I know that brass is softer than the steel of the bore, but I am worried that when using this tool to seat bullets, the knurled surface could damage the rifling.

I'm sure some of you have asked the same question, since I believe this tool comes standard with every TC muzzleloader. What do you think?

Will not hurt. You get more damage from the steel rods. If you are going to use sabots you may need a difference bullet pusher,
