Need some good flints...?

I am in need of a place to get some good flints. I don't like the the one that my local pro shop has. They just have the T/C blister-pack stuff.

Also I have some german flint(s) that are rounded at the edge how do I get them sharp again?

Thanks Koz

will hunt for food....

Re: Need some good flints...?

I order mine from Track of the Wolf. Always been satisfied. They have the size recommended for a T/C.
Also, learn the Art of Knapping your Flint. This will put on a nice sharp edge and extend the life of the Flint.

Cains Outdoors in WVA does a nice job----I bought a bag of 100 English flints one year they ran a special----Good flints at a good price. I also like the French Amber flints from TOW!

Re: Need some good flints...?

Go to the Muzzleloading.Com forum and look for a fellow by the name of Rich Pearce. He makes them by hand for about $1 a piece including shipping. And they are second to none. He will make them the exact size you want. As a matter of fact the first time I bought from him he shipped them to me before I paid for them. He said if I was happy with them then send him a check. I think it was $13 or $14 for a dozen. Tom.
