Re: T/C Maxi Hunters/Maxi Balls

I use the 435grn .54 in my Renegade.

My dad had 365grn maxi-hunters he used in it but they stopped selling them and I have not shopped for a mold; I don't shoot it enough.

3D - There are STILL a few deer left! You need to pry them out of the developments!

Re: T/C Maxi Hunters/Maxi Balls

I tried Maxi Hunters once in my Pa Hunter and they didn't shoot for squat due to the slow, 1/66 twist intended for round balls.

I have tried them in the past.
I have killed deer with them.
I just don't like the idea that they sometimes shift off the charge.
I use round balls all the time now.

Re: T/C Maxi Hunters/Maxi Balls

I only have a few left, but I shoot the .50 maxi-hunters in 470 grain in my NEF Sidekick with a 1:28 twist. Great accuracy and knock deer over!! Bad news, they discontinued these big boys years ago
