Pyrodex Cleaner

What do you guys clean the gun with after using Pyrodex Pellets??? My barrel seems to be "tightening up" a little.

Re: Pyrodex Cleaner

a bucket of hot soapy water. What have you been shooting? could be plastic or lead fouling in the barrel. If either, get a good solvent cleaner and run that down the clean bore and use a bore brush.

Re: Pyrodex Cleaner

I have been using the CVA sabot solvent when cleaning the barrel. I have been shooting the copper plated hollow point Powerbelts. 295 gr (I think) They seem to shoot pretty well out of the gun. I may swith over to the Barnes X bullet next year. At the range I shoot (50-75 yds max) I could probably still shoot a buffalo bullet LOL

Re: Pyrodex Cleaner

yeah i'd just get some copper cleaner and let it sit in the bore for a few minutes and then use a bore brush and scrub it good. Make sure you read directions on the cleaning solvent!
