Day 6 - Oct 20

Anyone out after them today? Just got out of work here, and headed to the woods for my last sit of the season. Good luck to everyone out!

Good luck. My buddy and I went out this morning. I spooked just about every deer on the farm walking in at 5:30. Did see 2 way out ahead of me at 8:35. This was a new property for us so I was going in mostly blind. Turns out the woods I was in is loaded with acorns. And I interrupted breakfast ! My buddy got a young doe just after 9. Going back in the morning

Ended up getting set up late, and wasn't expecting much. A little after 6, a half rack (2pts) came stomping through making a heck of a racket. Big bodied deer, but not much on the head to back it up. He created a scene for 10 min or so. He wondered off, but eventually caught a glimpse of me, and he was off like a shot.

That was it for me for the season. I think this has been one of the more lackluster and unproductive early ML seasons I've had. No shots taken, and not many deer seen. Much of that was poor planning on my part, but I'm blamin some of it on the weather as well.

Rant over...good luck to all headed out tomorrow for the last day!

Got out for last hour or so last night. Got a quick glimpse of two yearling does moving up the hill from the treeline into the field beyond. No shots presented, none taken.
