Hornady FPB Question

Has anyone used these new bullets from Hornady? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I like the idea of no plastic skirts. Right now I use Power Belt bullets.

Here's the link for these new bullets.

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I haven't seen them yet. How are the prices on them compared to the power belts? They look like they should work, as long as they seal up. That is why the power belts use the plastic ring on the bottom.

Re: Hornady FPB Question

powerbelts use the plastic base so the bullet goes down easily = it serves as an extra gas seal. The bullet itself flares up into the rifling.

I did not like the FPB at all, they were stiff to load and they just didnt sit well with me at all.

Re: Hornady FPB Question

Amazing the amount of technology needed, compared to the 70's, to harvest those whitetail deer today. They sure have increased the amount of armor on these existing whitetail deer, I imagine.

Back then we use to practice a lot with plain old round balls and patches. Sure worked for that Pennsylvania native Daniel Boone.
