Investarms Hawkin question

Hey guys I wanted to change out the sights on my Investarm Hawkin from Cabelas. When I removed the rear sight screw sight does not come off. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Investarms Hawkin question

on some, after removing the visible screw, you must lift off the sight ramp and there will be another screw under it.

I gotta go agitate the techies!

Re: Investarms Hawkin question

go to the investarms site and pull up the schematic for your gun. It shows TWO mounting screws

Re: Investarms Hawkin question

The screw that you removed is likely the elevation adjustment screw. After that is removed you must remove the pivot pin at the front of the sight with a small finish nail or a drift punch of the proper size, lift the top of the sight off and you will see two more screws that attach the main body of the sight to the barrel. Be careful not to loose the spring that is in there under the top leaf, it might want to get away from you as you drift out the pivot pin.
