T/C primers

I recently got a T/C Bone Collector Triumph. Went to the range to sight in yesterday, had an issue with my primer not allowing the breech to fully close. I was using the 777 Winchester primers. Did a quick Google search and found that some primers have too thick of a shoulder to allow the T/C to lock closed. Luckily I had some of my old ones which worked, but I had to shut the breech several times to seat the primer before it would lock shut and then I could shoot. Has anybody else had this issue and if so, what primers work..?? Shot very well otherwise, nice gun.

Re: T/C primers

Ha, never used a T/C that used a primer. They unfortunately, stopped selling muzzleloaders that didn't use primers. Still painful to me.

Re: T/C primers

They turned their backs on the folks who made them a big company. Wouldn't have a tc anything now.

Re: T/C primers

I know where you guys are coming from. I love my flinters...! Got this as a new toy to play around with. I also just finished building/customizing a GPR that I haven't shot yet... That's my next range day..!
