New smoke gun

Just pick up a new TC Triumph with a Leupold Ultimateslam 3x9 with Leupold scope mounts. Box of triple 7 pellets and Shock Wave 250 in Mag express sabots. Tom at Grice was very informative on the inline's. A big thanks to him! Now I need some primers, Grice, Bob's army & navy and mahoning valley milling, are out. Is this something that has been a problem or just a off season thing?

Re: New smoke gun

Kinda' odd all the local stores are out. Maybe it's a Pennsylvania fire law associated with the reason. Just guessing those ma & pa gun stores may save on building insurance premiums not stocking muzzleloader primers on store shelves in the off-season.

Really don't know. Just sounds strange nobody has any.

Re: New smoke gun

Seems odd they are out. Was just at my local Dunhams, which may not be to far from you, and they had plenty of Remington and CCI primers in stock.

Re: New smoke gun

Also, I'm currently trying to get my Impact to shoot groups I like. I've tried 3 different brands of 250 gr. sabots and all seem to be sporadic so I'm moving to try 300 gr. So try the ones you got but don't be to surprised if need to try multiple brands, loads, and sabots.

Re: New smoke gun

Most times all that's needed is replacing the plastic sabots, not the bullets. There are a wide variety of these plastic sabots available at harvestermuzzleloading and at MMPsabots.
