Re: Omega Z5

I have one I'm currently trying to sell as I don't hunt MD anymore. With 245gr XTP's and 2 50 gr Pyrodex pellets I could clover leaf at 100 yards and aim was point blank to almost 150. Most of my deer went straight down with that load. I think its a great gun and easy to maintain.

Re: Omega Z5

I have the Omega X7, a stainless carbine, but similar enough to the Z5. I think you will be happy with your purchase. Congrats on finding a good deal on a fun shooter!

Great Firearm. I use Blackhorn 209. High performance powder 90 grains behind a Hornady 300 sst. It's range and accuracy will surprise you.

Re: Omega Z5

I've owned three omegas. All have been accurate and reliable.I like to use them with either open or peep sights.I feel that the stock is too low for a scope.

Re: Omega Z5

I had an Omega. VERY accurate. The only reason i got rid of it was that I didn't like having to mess around pulling the breechplug out with a wrench to clean it. I went with the Triumph, which has the plug that can be turned out by hand. Both are great guns and have accounted for many deer.

I gotta go agitate the techies!

Re: Omega Z5

My Omega Z5 shoots well with two T7 pellets and a 250 TC Shockwave. The Shockwave bullets have performed well for me on deer. I have a 3-9x50 Redfield on mine. Very happy with the gun.
