Shop for flinters in NW PA?

I am in the market for a flintlock for the upcoming season. Being a lefty, I know my options are limited. I'm trying to get my hands on as many of those options as I can. The thing is that I am having trouble finding much. I've tried all the local shops that I have had luck with in the past. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I'm willing to travel a little bit, but I'm not really interested in traveling across the state.

Thanks,

Micah

I'm switching back to a flinter after a couple years of a cap lock. Really looking to go with a production gun. Budget is $400 ish.

Don't be closed minded about a left hand version. I am a lefty and all of my flinter's except one are right hand models, not sure how many I have would have to take inventory. I shoot all of them with no problems.

I have never shot a RH flintlock, but I was always told don't shoot a RH flintlock as a lefty d/t the flash pan being right in your face. I hear tell it's a good way to develop a flinch. That aside, if I'm spending my the money, it's going to be a LH version.

Do what you are comfortable with and stick with it. I think you are on the right track buying a leftie.
I am right handed and left eye dominant due to nearsighted and astigmatism in my right eye. I have been shooting a righty FL left-handed for 15 years and have never gotten fully comfortable with it. That thought of the pan going up in your face is always there.
I have an appointment next week to go get checked out for lasik to get my vision corrected. I am just sick of dealing with it and want to see if I can get it fixed so I can shoot properly again. I've been shooting FL, bow, shotgun, handgun and rifle lefty all that time and I still have to think about what I'm doing instead of it just happening.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but I'm not sure LASIK will change your eye dominance?

I was recently evaluated for LASIK because I just want to be done with contacts/glasses. I can't have it done, however, because my corneas are too thin. Supposedly most folks are capable of having it done, however. Good luck with it if you have it done.

My brother is a lefty and shoots a right handed flintlock. He got it down pat eventually, but it took him a LONG time, and he's a pretty fair shot with most firearms.

Folks are different, shooting a right handed FL left handed was always a non-issue for me. Not everyone can adjust I just never see the flash,I am concentrating on the sights.
