Re: remington 4 pellet 200 grain muzzy

Why would Remington make a muzzy like that?I would never think of using 200 gr in any muzzy, just not needed.

The "bigger is better" theory...

Shhh don't tell them we regularly kill deer with 70-90gr! A doe I shot last year with 70gr and a ball-et..in jest behind the shoulder..exit between the back legs and through the knee area of the off side back leg..what like 3-4ft of penetration??

Would all that powder even burn?? I know once I get up into 90+gr there is a whole bunch of powder blowing out the barrel...I'd imagine with pellets they may come out as big fireballs lol...

I saw a photo of it from the 2014 NRA convention. It said "kick butt like a revolutionary war sniper." Think about that for a minute....

Seriously....Remington is targeting those who desire longer range capability. Long range shooting is about the only direction modern muzzle loading can go from where it is.

Who has one, and can provide testimony? I don't know anyone who has experience with it.

That has got to thump you bad! 100g behind a heavy tc hunter or great plains bullet is bad enough!

150-200 grains takes the fun out of muzzleloading.

Re: remington 4 pellet 200 grain muzzy

I have a tc firestorm that can shoot 150 grains, but I never wanted my shoulder to try it.

Re: remington 4 pellet 200 grain muzzy

150gr shot once in a while is OK. But to sit at a range and shoot 15-20 times at 150-200 sighting-in, with a typical 250 gr bullet?...... no fun / no thanks

I'll stick to 90 grains and patched round ball.
