Little Snow Fun

Went out last Saturday to do a little shooting with my Lyman Deerstalker. To say it was tough is an understatement. The snow was deep and I had to dig out a place for my table as well as my target.
The walk down to set up the target stand and cardboard and target was brutal on these old legs. I am going to wait for some nicer weather to try again. I did get it on the bull at 50 yards though, but I still have to get it dialed in at 100 yds.

Here are a few pics from the tundra
Sorry did not take any pics of target, I just wanted to get everything back in the SUV and get home.

Re: Little Snow Fun

What load were you using? With the snow on the ground is a good time to check how the patches look and also to see if the load is peppering.

The answers to all of life's questions are found in the Bible!

Re: Little Snow Fun

Do you like the fiber optics on there? Mine came with iron sights and was thinking about switching

Re: Little Snow Fun

Went out about a week later and shot again, it wasn't any better, the snow was deeper but I put the Lyman 57sml peep sight on and wanted to try it out. I didn't get to try it long enough to see if I like it better than the fiber optics.
