flintlock sights?

It is my understanding that PA law says the use of a magnified scope or sight isn't legal during flintlock deer season. Is it legal to use a non magnifying Red dot sight instead of open sights? It doesn't say anything in the book about it.

Re: flintlock sights?

Well, from what I can read they are NOT allowed as they could possibly telescopic.... On page 42 of the manual it states that telescopic sights are NOT allowed, but peep sites are, so I would interpret that as anything other than open or peep sights are not allowed... JUST MY OPINION....

Re: flintlock sights?

I have an old brass replica scope I got years ago and mounted on my Renegade. It's real long and maybe about 2x power if that, Josey Wales sorta thing. Never hunted with it, but it would be fun to try.

Work is for people who don't hunt!!
