Here is some footage i threw together from early inline season. We hunted hard for three of the days and wouldn't you know only saw bucks! The doe are every where when you are looking for a buck and no where to be found when you think it should be an easy doe harvest! it was fun and maybe some of you will get some enjoyment out of my girlfriends expression after we have a nice 7 point run up to us at 10 yards after working a scrape on the adjacent hill.
Same here. On the last Saturday, we had 4 deer within range. The first was a tiny little doe we let go, the next three were a spike, a 6point, and a forkhorn. Same for last season, the only deer I saw during the early season were a couple of spikes on two different days. It's like they know.......
If you're having trouble hunting for deer,
don't wish things were easier;
wish you were smarter.
Same here had my son out for early youth season decided to give the rifle a try and let the crossbow get some rest. Wouldn't u know it we had 4 buck in 2 days in under 15 yards. One of which would of been the largest buck I have ever shot let alone my son getting him. Had him under 10 yards for over 5 min. He was so excited just to see something like that so close for so long.
I was fortunate to see 9 deer in three days of early muzzy doe season. At least 7 of them were bucks and the other two were possibly bucks. About the only doe I actually saw was the one my son got. Also saw turkeys every day too. Went back there to hunt turkeys and saw several does and no turkeys.
