Early Season Smoke Poles... Watcha Carrying?

I think I'm gonna let the .50 DeerStalker Flinter in the gun cabinet and carry my .50 Lyman Trade Rifle. I shoot the 295 gr Powerbelt hollow points with 90 gr of 3F.

I'm really getting excited to take her for a walk.

These targets were from a few years ago when I was shooting the old girl alot.

What will you be carrying?

I'd say you are definitely ready to make meat! Good luck to you.

I'll be toting my homemade .58 cal. smoothbore fowler. It shoots a .562 patched round ball in front of 90 grains of FFFg Goex. I used it in the spring to harvest my first flintlock gobbler, and would get a real kick out of taking a fall whitetail next week.
