Courage, Leadership, Humility

And Strength, define CW3 Holsey, retired as of today.
I was at his retirement ceremony yesterday. He was chief of our Brigade S1. I knew nothing of his story, nor injury, until yesterday. To me, that speaks volumes of his personality. From the words of those who worked with him and his own, as well as the flowing tears of his subordinates, it was very evident that his injuries do not define the man.
A true leader, and inspiration to his soldiers.
Fare thee well, Chief!

Exactly!
He spoke briefly during the ceremony. As humble as anyone I've ever met. A couple of his NCOs were in tears, which didn't help the rest of us........
