NW Pa Rabbit Hunt

Hey guys/gals, last year a group of us got together and did a small hunt.

Last year we met at a McDonalds near Butler and hunted State Land if I recall correctly. Location is undecided at this point.

Just curious if anyone was interested in squeezing in a Saturday hunt before close of season, whether you have hounds or not, all are welcome.

If your interested sound off.

I have a bird dog, not a bunny dog but I love hunting with beagles. I haven't got to do it in a good while.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.

Ok, some are showing a little interest, So I'll get it rolling.

I'm up for anywhere North of Pittsburgh really, and have 2 dogs. If our hunting party breaches 6, I'll be more than happy to leave the gun at home.

If anyone has suggestions on locations (SGL's, ect) they think would be ideal for this post it up.
Moraine is where we went last year.

IDK if I'd be able to make it or not being there will only be 3 Saturdays left to hunt. I just wanted to point out though, it doesn't matter if you have a gun or not, you'll still be considered part of the group (participating). Therefore, you'd count toward the 6. I just wanted to say it before you got checked with 9 guys LOL

Re: NW Pa Rabbit Hunt

Yeah, that would be a GREAT way to end the season.

We get a good group with enough dogs we ll just split up.

The only thing about doing something like this is you need a big parcel of land to make it happen. Or several spots in close proximity to each other. When we held the HPA rabbit hunts it was on a very large tract of land and dogs still ended up harking in to each other.

I'm down. Even though my dogs out ta shape. Depending on number of guys I got some spots we can try, there's always the park, Swamp Run Road, Country Club Road, Isle Road. Meet at Mickey D's at Pilot. There's the Moniteau Game Lands.
